Privacy Policy

ChunkIt ("we", "us", "our") is an English learning app made by Hagen Creative to help students prepare for the English examination with stories, vocabulary and flashcards. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using ChunkIt, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect:

Your email address and a securely hashed password (email sign-up), or
Your Google or Apple account ID and the email address they share with us (Google / Apple sign-in).
The username and nickname you choose.

Learning progress. So your progress is saved and synced across devices, we store:

Stories you have completed and game results.
Flashcard review history and schedule.
Words you bookmark and your review list.

Purchases. If you buy Premium, payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card details. We only receive and keep the purchase record (product, transaction ID, expiry date) needed to unlock Premium for you.

Invites. If you use or share an invite code, we record which accounts are linked by that code so both sides receive their bonus.

Help & feedback. If you send us feedback or report a problem, we receive:

Your message and any details you choose (such as the word or story concerned).
A screenshot, only if you choose to attach one from your photo library.
A reply email address, only if you enter one.
Your device model, operating system and app version, to help us fix the problem.

Basic usage data. We record simple events such as when the Premium screen is opened or a purchase is started, together with an install ID and, if you are signed in, your account, to understand how the app is used and fix problems.

2. Information that stays on your device

The word and story database used for offline learning.
Pronunciation audio, which is generated by your device's built-in text-to-speech.
Study reminders, which are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.

3. How we use your information

To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
To save and sync your learning progress.
To verify purchases and provide Premium features.
To send account emails, such as sign-up verification codes.
To improve the app and fix bugs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

4. Sharing with others

We only share information with services that help us run ChunkIt:

Apple and Google, for sign-in and in-app purchases.
Our hosting and email providers, which store data and deliver emails on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account in the app at any time (Profile > Account > Delete account). When you do, we permanently delete your account, sign-in details, learning progress, purchase records and any feedback you sent while signed in. Basic usage events are kept only without any link to you. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases under their own privacy policies. 6. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to delete your account, at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time. These rights are provided under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act.

7. Security

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access to our servers is restricted. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

8. Students under 18

ChunkIt is designed for high school students. If you are under 18, please use the app with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. Parents who believe their child has given us information they should not have may contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.

ChunkIt（以下稱「我們」）是由 Hagen Creative 開發的英文學習 App，透過故事、單字與字卡幫助學生準備學測。本政策說明我們蒐集哪些資料、為什麼蒐集，以及你擁有的選擇。使用 ChunkIt 即表示你同意本政策。

一、我們蒐集的資料

帳號資料。建立帳號時，我們會蒐集：

你的電子郵件與經過安全加密的密碼（以 Email 註冊時），或
你的 Google 或 Apple 帳號識別碼，以及它們提供給我們的電子郵件（以 Google / Apple 登入時）。
你設定的使用者名稱與暱稱。

學習進度。為了保存你的進度並在不同裝置間同步，我們會儲存：

已完成的故事與遊戲結果。
字卡複習紀錄與排程。
你收藏的單字與複習清單。

購買紀錄。如果你購買 Premium，付款完全由 Apple App Store 或 Google Play 處理，我們不會看到或儲存你的信用卡資料。我們只會收到並保存開通 Premium 所需的購買紀錄（方案、交易編號、到期日）。

邀請碼。當你使用或分享邀請碼時，我們會記錄透過該邀請碼連結的帳號，讓雙方都能獲得獎勵。

意見回饋。當你傳送意見或回報問題時，我們會收到：

你的訊息，以及你選擇提供的細節（例如相關的單字或故事）。
截圖，僅在你選擇從相簿附加時。
回覆用電子郵件，僅在你填寫時。
你的裝置型號、作業系統與 App 版本，協助我們修正問題。

基本使用資料。我們會記錄一些簡單的事件（例如開啟 Premium 頁面或開始購買），並搭配安裝識別碼及（若你已登入）你的帳號，用來了解 App 的使用情況並修正問題。

二、只保存在你裝置上的資料

離線學習用的單字與故事資料庫。
發音語音，由你裝置內建的文字轉語音功能產生。
學習提醒，由你的裝置在本機排程。你可以隨時在裝置設定中關閉。

三、我們如何使用你的資料

建立並保護你的帳號，讓你能登入。
保存並同步你的學習進度。
驗證購買並提供 Premium 功能。
寄送帳號相關郵件，例如註冊驗證碼。
改善 App 並修正錯誤。

我們不會出售你的個人資料，也不會顯示第三方廣告。

四、與他人分享

我們只會與協助營運 ChunkIt 的服務分享資料：

Apple 與 Google，用於登入與 App 內購買。
我們的主機與郵件服務商，代表我們儲存資料與寄送郵件。

若法律要求，我們也可能揭露相關資料。

五、資料保存期間

只要你的帳號存在，我們就會保存你的資料。你可以隨時在 App 內刪除帳號（Profile > Account > Delete account）。刪除後，我們會永久刪除你的帳號、登入資料、學習進度、購買紀錄，以及你在登入狀態下送出的意見回饋。基本使用事件只會在與你無關聯的情況下保留。Apple 與 Google 會依其隱私權政策保存你的購買紀錄。所有刪除方式（包含以電子郵件申請）請參閱刪除帳號說明。

六、你的權利與選擇

依據中華民國《個人資料保護法》，你可以隨時透過下方的電子郵件，要求查詢、更正或刪除你的個人資料，或刪除你的帳號。我們會在合理時間內回覆。

七、資料安全

密碼僅以安全雜湊方式儲存，伺服器存取也受到限制。沒有任何系統能百分之百安全，但我們會盡力保護你的資料。

八、未滿 18 歲的學生

ChunkIt 是為高中生設計的。如果你未滿 18 歲，請在家長或監護人知情的情況下使用本 App。家長若認為孩子提供了不應提供的資料，可以與我們聯絡，我們會將其刪除。

九、政策變更

我們可能會不定期更新本政策。更新時，我們會修改上方的「最後更新」日期，重大變更也會在 App 內公告。
